This was a good deal compared to all others I shopped around for. My only beef is that the fresh packs came with the holder which I didn't need because they are already in the fridge. I consider it a waste and it defeats the purpose of recycling.
Everyone please note that these are Water Sentinel filters and NOT AMANA as the title suggests.This is very misleading as this is not the Amana brand name replacement as the title implies , but a generic replacement.I did not notice this until I received the product.The picture shows it, but I do not think they should be able to say it in their title and I am going to let Amazon know about this.

I shopped around for this cartridge filter to match the original that came with my Spectra Pure RO/DI drinking water system. I am completely satisfied, it helps make the water taste and odor fresher. We use the water for cooking and beverages, I live in a part of the country that has extreemly hard water with high iron content and requires water softening prior to final filtration. As a bonus the price was the lowest I could find anywhere and delivery was fast.
Item was offered as a 3-pack, but it was packaged as 3 individuals items.No biggie because they performed as expected, so far.My issues are that shipping was high compared to some other online vendors and it took past the expected delivery times to arrive.I had to contact Amazon to complain.Amazon then forwarded my complaint to the vendor (who apologized) and I received delivery in about 10 days after ordering.
I purchased these instead of the GE WMF filter because the GE's were SOOO expensive. This is the first time I've purchased something other than GE filters. They work just fine. One thing I would say, though, is make sure you turn the water off to the frig before you change the filter. My husband didn't do that and we had a flood in the frig.
The replacement info isn't detailed enough to ensure this is the correct filter for our Frigidaire refrigerator. When I replace the filter last time with this one, it came out strong, but then went down to a trickle pretty quickly. This time, after replacing the filter with a new one, it came out only as a trickle, taking up to 2 minutes to fill an8-oz. glass of water. I think the size is off my a very small amount, or it gets filled up too easily with sediment to work properly. I'll pass on the cost savings and buy the manufacturer's replacement part so I can get water in a reasonable amount of time.
This filter produces great tasting water and the ice made from the water is prefectly clear.Our water had formally had a very bitter, metallic taste and the ice was cloudy.
We purchased this filter (AquaFresh WF285) from another online retailer as a less expensive alternative to our Whirlpool brand filter. Bad choice.

The filters work really well and are easy to install.There are many different sizes and you need to know your model number of your refrigerator before you can order.The site will let you know the proper filter by using your model number.You cannot tell by just comparing them as they look a lot alike.The ordering is quick and I received by filters by Fed-ex quite quickly.Thanks for your informative site.
This thing was amazingly simple to install.Tubing merely slides into the inlet and outlet sides of the holder.Cartridge is simple to change, water is so clear you almost can't see it. I installed one on my boat for the icemaker and cockpit sink.
Filter only provides adequate filtering for a couple of weeks, then gets progressively worse in the following weeks to the point where the water coming from the filter produces a strong odor that is far worse than whatever you might detect from the tap.Horrible quality, will avoid ALL products under this brand in the future.
A nice two-pack filter set for your refrigerator. There's a bit of a trick to get it seated correctly, though.If you don't get it just right, your water flow won't engage.Once I figured it out, it was fine.Better deal for your dollar compared with name-brand filters.
The first of my order fits (I can only use 1 at a time), does not leak; and deliveres as promised!Claims to be developed by water professionals. I guess they aren't that professional afterall. The water tastes horrible, and it has this weird "body odor" like scent to it. YUCK Will never buy again, but it may be the luck of my draw. 
I purchased this filter from a discount filter store on-line.It worked fine for about two weeks and then clogged.I was about to call for repairs on the refrigerator, but instead I replaced it with the genuine GE product and so far no troubles with the GE filter.
We have a LOT of particulates in our water and this flter does a fantastic job.Unfortunately performance drops quickly, reducing flow to an annoyingly slow drizzle.If you have a lot of particles and are not concerned with cysts etc, you may want to downgrade to the 8171413 which is also effective with chlorine and lead reduction but seems to last far longer before flow is restricted.
These may or may not be effective filters, but they are absolutely not Maytag UKF7003AXX filters!As the picture shows, the filters are WSM-1 filters made by someone other than Maytag.
This is LG's discontinued 5231JA2006A, NOT the current 5231JA2006B. I replaced my older filter when this arrived from Amazon and it works, but the current version is an improvement over this one.The problem with this filter is the price they are demanding for a discontinued product.I paid way too much for this filter as it is inferior to the current item that is available on the market.Unfortunately, the vendor doesn't make it clear exactly which filter one is purchasing, since the current product's item number appears in parentheses here on Amazon (and, as I recall, on the vendor's website).I recommend finding the current filter and paying the few extra dollars as it is superior to this one.
This item is made by Water Sentinel. But, if you search "Whirlpool 4396508", the result you get is shown as "3 Pack Whirlpool 4396508 Replacement Filter by Water Sentinel by Whirlpool". The extension of "BY WHIRLPOOL" drops only when you click that link and get to the page of product. And there, it shows a picture of Whirlpool filter, NOT a WATER SENTINEL filter.
I bought this filter because the regular brad is almost 2 times as much.Of course my old one went bad after a year but this one didn't go bad.Instead it filled my refrig and kitchen floor full with water.Good thing I was home to stop the water from flowing otherwise I would have needed to call for an insurance adjustment.The filter had a huge crack in it and all the water poured out.I'm not gonna buy from these guys again.

I purchased these to replace the OEM filters that I have been spending $45 a piece on at Lowes. Everything I read about these filters indicated longer life and obviously a MUCH better value from a cost perspective. They were well packaged and fit perfectly. The only thing is a slightly 'off' plastic taste. As I do with OEM filters I flushed several gallons through the filter before using any of the water. Still, there was this persistent bitter plastic taste. After running several more gallons through it the taste began to diminish and has become less noticeable over time. I have used dozens of filter / softener technologies over the last 20 years and this is the first time I have had this taste perception issue. I willl have to see what the next filter is like in several months to determine if I will purchase again.
I have had this filter in use for approx. 8 months. So far so good. The water tastes great. I bought this unit due primarily to lazyness. My installation is in a tough to reach place and I wanted to avoid changing out the unit every year or so.No complaints so far. The unit has performed well.
Have used this system for 12 yrs, priced reasonably and works well, lasts up to 12 months depending on usage! Will continue to use.
The Ice and Water Filter for our Frigidaire fridge lasted only 5 months for us, when our water from the fridge started tasting weird (chlorine-tasting). Replacing the used filter was also a snap, no tools required.
I have a Whirlpool side by side.They could give them away for free and just charge for the repairs and do OK.The fridge is four years old and has had the ice maker replaced (an extremely poorly designed gear), and also had to have a new main circuit board (a short circuit due to faulty board design).Add to the high cost of the parts the rich cost of the service man.Yikes - those two items came to close to the price of the fridge. Installation was a cinch. Does what it claims. Cheaper than the GE filter. However, I think it's overpriced for what it is, but I guess they tailor their $ to GE's cost which is just ridiculous.

I purchased the LG refrigerator replacement filter and the product review was for the 5231ja2006b but they shipped the A model.It would have been cheaper to buy the A model elsewhere. Don't believe they product description from this company. 
To reset CHANGE FILTER light: Press and hold the LIGHT and LOCK pads until the CHANGE FILTER light blinks (approx. 3 seconds). The control is now reset for 12 months or another 416 gallons. [whichever comes first]. Note: the 7003 filter is rated at 6 months replacement because it filters more substances than the 7002. The pricing is the same. I have no problem with this over the past several years. If you buy from maytagfilters.com it will cost more ($35.95 if you buy 3) than the home center pricing ($34.95 for 1), but the AMAZON price is the best around.
This is a great filter for my older Frigidaire model refrigerator. It is easy to replace and the water tastes great. You will find it more expensive at other sites especially when you have to add in shipping for other sites.

I've read many reviews and reports and saw this fit my make and model refrigerator. Unfortunately, it does not.
Easy ordering, timely shipping, no reason not to order from here again. This model is a replacement to the Maytag original. No difference in taste or performance and it's less expensive.
The price on this item appears to have gone up by about $20.00 in the last two weeks.These are the same exact filters sold by Sears for use in their high-end Kenmore Elite's (built by LG in 2005).I compared build, quality, part number, and packaging.However, when I purchased them they were about half the price compared to sears (I bought a two-pack). 
I decided to replace the original filter on my GE refrigerator after about 10 months when the "change filter" light came on. I went to the local hardware store and found a replacement for $49 plus tax. It seemed expensive, so I decided to check Amazon instead and found these along with the OEM GE filters.
This filter is rated at 750 gallons capacity. If the consumer uses one gallon of water per day in the form of water from the refrigerator dispenser and ice from the ice dispenser, the filter will last 750 days; i.e., just over TWO years. In general, there is no reason to replace the filter yearly, unless you have a really yuccky water source.
It was time to replace the water filter in our GE Cafe refrigerator. As is typically the case, Amazon was the most economical source to purchase.
This is advertised as a "Whirlpool" 1/4 turn filter but it fits all 1/4 turn filters including Kenmore side-by-side models.I have been paying $30+ for Kenmore's 9010 filter and this filter is an exact replacement.
I have a Kenmore refrigerator form Sears that I bought about a year and a half ago. Kenmore is actually made by Whirlpool and although the filter this replaced was labeled Kenmore, this is the exact same filter but labeled Whirlpool instead. I looked it up on the Sears site and they wanted $50 for the same filter. The price is a steal and even though it says 6 months I used it for over a year since I have soft water in my house and only one person. My fridge has a 6 month built in timer that goes from green to orange to red when the 6 months is up. I thought it might be based on actual usage, but it's not, because it went red at exactly 6 months and I use far less water than most other households. I have no idea why more time would harm a filter, as far as I'm concerned it's just a marketing tactic to get you to buy them more often then needed, like oil changes every 3,000 miles.
If you go to PUR's website, you'll find that this filter handles only 4 problem areas: (chlorine, sediment, lead, o-dichlorobenzene). 
i was very excited when i looked on amazon and found this product around $10 cheaper than on the web site from the company where i bought my refrigerator.i was a little hesitant (always being a believer in "you get what you pay for"), but figured i'd give it a try.to my surprise, the item was received only 2 days after i placed the order.i even installed it myself with no problems.
